Village news for week 23 August 2010 EVERGREENS A Bring and Buy sale will be held at the next meeting in the village hall at 2.30 pm on Thursday September 2. An outing to Maldon is planned for Thursday Sept 9. CRICKET CLUB The home match on Sunday Sept 5 is a Cup Game against Kirby starting at the earlier time of 12.30 pm. Church Services for Sunday Sept 5: 10 am Eucharist at St Mary’s, Langham 10.30 service at the Methodist Church led by Rev Jane Deane. 6pm Evensong at St Peter’s, Boxted MOBILE LIBRARY This will call at playing field car park from 11.05 -11.30 on Tuesday September 7 PARISH COUNCIL The next meeting is at 7 pm in the village hall on Wednesday September 8. REFUSE FREIGHTER This will be at the Playing Field Car Park from 10.45 – 12 noon on Saturday October 16 CRICKET CLUB MATCH REPORT TC5 28th Aug Away
Vs Hadleigh - Inserted on a very damp track, Boxted struggled to score
runs all innings being bowled out for 120 with only Paul Tongue 40
offering any resistance. In reply despite an excellent effort in the
field the home side won by 6 wickets with 2 overs to spare.
