CRICKET CLUB RESULTS
30th Aug TC5 Away vs. Wivenhoe -
Wivenhoe batted first and struggled to find any fluency as the uneven
playing surface made batting difficult. Ian Evans took 5-35, as they
were eventually bowled out for 116. In reply Boxted found batting even
more difficult on the deteriorating surface and could muster only 75 to
lose by 41 runs. 31st Aug PDQ 3 Away Vs Abberton - Abberton made an imposing score of 272 for the loss of only 4 wickets. The pick of the bowlers was Andy Wilson who picked up a couple of wickets. Boxted made a great effort in reaching the total and scored a creditable 259-7. Matt Wilson 63 and Steve Philpott 54 both scored half centuries as we came up only 13 runs short.
